What We Do:

PTE Precision Machining (formerly, Patten Tool and Engineering) is conveniently located in southern Maine, immediately across the river from Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  Our strategic location has allowed us to better serve our customers, whether local or international.  PTE Precision Machining is a full service machine shop offering CNC machining, manual machining, welding, and fabrication. Over the years, we have had the privilege of supplying milled, turned, or otherwise fabricated products to a very diverse customer base. Defense, food service, energy production and everything in between – we’ve supplied CNC and manually machined parts and assemblies for.

How We Do It:

How PTE Precision Machining accomplishes these projects varies based on your specific needs. Often, we start with a customer supplied drawing of a part to be used on a machine in their facility. This could be an assembly for a die, or a fixture for the assembly of multiple parts.  Customers also provide drawings for prototypes, and we develop them. Some provide end use parts for short production runs. While this is what we focus on, PTE Precision Machining will also take broken parts and reverse engineer them. In this case, we will work more closely with the customer to meet their specific needs.  Our end goal is to support your company’s growth with high quality, on time and in specification products. 

Our Experience:

Through the years of working with such a diverse customer base, PTE Precision Machining has gained extensive experience in different applications and materials. Carbon or stainless steel, aluminum, nickel alloys like Inconel and Hastelloy, plastics – we can handle it. In addition to the array of materials, PTE Precision Machining is experienced in working with different Military Standards, ensuring you get the highest quality product every time.
